Description:

An optical adapter for using Canon EF lenses on Micro Four Thirds cameras. Its 0.71× focal reducer design reduces the crop factor, provides a wider field of view and increases the effective maximum aperture by approximately one stop.

Details:

On a Micro Four Thirds camera, the usual 2× crop factor is reduced to approximately 1.42×, bringing the field of view of Full Frame and APS-C EF lenses much closer to their original coverage. For example, a 50 mm f/1.4 lens has optical characteristics of approximately 35.5 mm f/1.0 when used with the adapter.

The electronic EF version supports camera-controlled aperture, lens image stabilisation and autofocus with compatible combinations. It is particularly useful for filmmaking with Panasonic, Olympus and other MFT cameras.
