The Panasonic HC-X2 is suitable for productions that require fast operation, a long zoom range and no lens changes. Its lens covers a 24.5–490 mm equivalent focal range for both wide-angle and distant shots.

The camera records 4K 50p/60p in 10-bit, with 13 stops of dynamic range in V-Log mode. Accurate autofocus, face detection, five-axis image stabilisation and built-in ND filters make it particularly practical for handheld filming.

Two XLR audio inputs, SDI and HDMI outputs, a timecode connection and dual SD card slots make it suitable for demanding production environments. It also features built-in Wi-Fi, wired network connectivity and Full HD live streaming.
